These terms set the rules for organisations and authorised users who access Skull OS.
About these terms
Skull OS is provided by NorthCode Digital LTD, company number SC864258, at 8 Frazer Street, Glasgow, G40 3QT, Scotland. These terms apply to organisations that use Skull OS and to people authorised to use an organisation account.
An order form, subscription agreement or data processing agreement may add to these terms. If there is a conflict, the more specific written agreement applies.
Accounts and authority
The organisation must provide accurate information and keep account access secure. Each user must use their own account and must not share passwords or access codes.
The organisation is responsible for choosing authorised users, assigning roles and removing access when it is no longer needed. A person who connects a payment, messaging or social account confirms that they have authority to grant that access.
Permitted use
Skull OS may be used to manage lawful school activity, including members, families, classes, attendance, memberships, payments, communications, resources, events and connected services.
You must not use Skull OS to break the law, harm another person, gain unauthorised access, distribute malware, send unlawful messages, mislead people, infringe rights or interfere with the service.
You are responsible for the content and instructions entered into Skull OS and for having the required notices, permissions and lawful basis.
Third party services
Some features depend on services such as payment providers, email providers, messaging services, hosting services and social platforms. Their terms, availability and decisions are outside our control.
We may change or stop an integration if a provider changes its service, removes access, creates a security risk or requires us to do so. We will give reasonable notice where practical.
Fees and payment
Fees, billing dates, usage limits and cancellation terms are shown in the applicable order or subscription. Taxes may apply. The organisation must pay valid charges when due.
A payment provider may process card or bank information under its own terms. Skull OS records payment status and provider references but does not store full card details.
Service and content
We aim to keep Skull OS available and secure, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. Maintenance, provider failure, security work or events outside reasonable control may affect the service.
The organisation keeps ownership of its content and grants us the limited right to host, copy, process and transmit that content only as needed to provide and protect Skull OS.
Skull OS software, design and branding belong to NorthCode Digital LTD or its licensors. These terms do not transfer that ownership.
Suspension and ending the service
We may suspend access where needed to protect the service, respond to unlawful use, address unpaid fees or follow a legal or provider requirement. We will act reasonably and give notice where practical.
When service ends, access may stop. Data return and deletion will follow the applicable agreement, our Privacy Policy, legal duties and reasonable technical limits.
Liability and law
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that rule, neither party is responsible for indirect loss or loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
Any specific liability limit in an order or subscription agreement applies. If no specific limit is agreed, our total liability connected with the service will not exceed the fees paid for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Scottish law governs these terms and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction, unless the law requires otherwise.
Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Social publishing and reviews
Connected social platforms remain separate services with their own terms. You must follow each provider policy and keep the connected account in good standing.
Skull OS may help authorised users prepare posts or owner replies. A person must review and approve content before it is sent. You remain responsible for the final content, selected account, audience and publishing time.
Skull OS may help a school ask for a genuine review by opening the provider review page. It cannot publish a customer review for that person. Reviews must not be bought, rewarded, filtered or written on someone else's behalf.
